What is the Renew Plan?
It is an initiative of the Community of Madrid to encourage those people who want to improve the insulation of their homes by replacing old windows and doors. Once the installation is completed and if you meet the requirements, you will be able to receive financial aid for the replacement.
What is the amount of the aid?
The amount of the incentive that you can receive will be 110 euros for each m2 of glass installed (not window), unless 25% of the eligible cost is exceeded. The minimum area of glass replaced to request aid will be at least 2 m2. The incentive will be limited to €50,000 per beneficiary and per address. Companies, self-employed entrepreneurs, cooperative societies, non-profit institutions and other entities that carry out an economic activity may not exceed the limit of €200,000.
What is the validity period to benefit from the aid of the Renove Plan?
The Community of Madrid will allocate 900 thousand euros for the actions of the Ventanas Renewal Plan. The deadline to qualify for the subsidy began on October 23 and will be open until December 31, 2021, or, if applicable, until the funds are exhausted.
What are the requirements to join the Renove Plan?
1. The windows installed must be new and must meet the following technical characteristics:
- The frames and leaves must be made of PVC, wood, metal or mixed (in the case of metal carpentry, they must have a thermal break).
- The frame of the profiles used in the manufacture of the windows must have a thermal transmittance (U) less than 2.3 W/m2 K and the glazing model or insulating glass unit must have a U value less than or equal to 1 .3 W/m2K; being formed by at least one low-e glass and argon gas.
- PVC frames and sheets will be rated for severe weather in Spain.
- The new windows and/or doors will have a Class 4 air permeability.
- In the case of replacing windows with blinds, the box must also have Class 4 air permeability and must incorporate a thermal insulator so that the box has a transmittance (U) less than or equal to 1.5 W/m2K.
2. Windows located in non-vertical parameters (for example attics) will not be eligible for aid. Nor those windows or doors with perimeter hardware (sliding).
3. Under no circumstances may new enclosures on terraces, balconies or galleries be adhered to the Renove Plan. You can only request help if you want to replace an old enclosure.
4. The purchase of materials without their installation will not be eligible for the Renove Plan.
