Who doesn't like to live in a home with personality and unique spaces? This apartment in the center of Madrid is an example of this. Due to the dimensions of the space, the fundamental challenge in this work was take advantage of natural light. The large windows chosen allowed for a lot of brightness To generate amplitude and highlight the decorative elements; as well as some spectacular views outside.
After a study of the place, the clients chose pivoting windows to achieve total opening and great insulation. This is how Guillermo, owner of this home, explains it: “We had a single closure installation and with Afandecor we changed all the windows that face the outside in the living room and bedroom”.
These windows manufactured and installed by Afandecor perfectly combine the practicality and the aesthetics, and were made with aluminum with thermal break (RPT). “The eternal debate was the choice of profile material. In the end we opted for aluminum to improve aesthetics. In this house the best are the views and if we chose PVC we were going to have larger profiles that would block out light. I think it turned out beautiful”, confesses the client.
Guillermo, who met the company through a distributor, explained what the entire process and deadlines were like: “I went to the Clara del Rey headquarters first and then to the Villaviciosa de Odón exhibition to make the final decision. The whole process has gone very well. From pre-sales service, to the accounts department and installers. From when I closed the budget until we started the reform it took a while, but when they started they met the established deadlines”.
The owners of the home acknowledge that they have talked about Afandecor to their neighbors in the building, who also have to change their windows from the 70s. What do you think of the final result?
